Our 2025 Virtual Conference features sessions from members of the Active Archive Alliance on how best to plan for effective data management and governance in the emerging age of AI.
Watch the recorded sessions:
Introduction and Keynote Keynote Session, Philippe Nicolas, Coldago Research and Storage Newsletter
This virtual conference presented by the Active Archive Alliance will focus on how best to plan for effective data management and governance in the emerging age of AI. While much of the focus of AI adopters has been on the front end of data processing and analytics, the sustainability of AI workflows must now address the long-term retention and protection of what will be massive and persistent volumes of data.
Session 1: The Big Picture With the IT industry already under pressure for cost controls, energy consumption, and the reduction of the carbon footprint, careful planning will be required at all stages of the AI workflow.
Session 2: Practical Implementations Identify how you can create a new and sustainable methodology through active archiving to support optimal data storage that is available and useful for advanced AI workflows.
Session 3: Looking Ahead For today’s data-driven and AI-based organizations, intelligent data management and the many benefits of active archiving will be an imperative go forward strategy.
2023 Virtual Conference: Effective Data Management Through Active Archives
Our 2023 Virtual Conference features sessions to help business and IT leaders understand the challenges of massive, double-digit data growth and how effective data management is key to handling today’s data growth rates.
Watch the recorded sessions:
Introduction and Keynote Organizations with intelligent data management processes that feed into business intelligence workloads gain competitive advantage. This is where active archives excel! Learn how to take control of your archival data’s accessibility, cost, and security by building a flexible and accessible archival repository. Moderated by storage industry editorial expert Drew Robb, the conference features a keynote presentation from John Monroe of Furthur Market Research on “Archiving and Accessing the Dataverse” and sessions led by members of the Active Archive Alliance sharing their expertise and best practices.
Session 1: ACCESS An essential active archive principle asserts that today’s enterprises need online access to legacy data. Some use cases may need fast access; in other instances, a longer retrieval time is acceptable. The organization determines its access needs and permissions for users and groups.
Session 2: BENEFITS An active archive positions organizations to manage growing data and address industry pressures cost-effectively and securely, while laying a foundation to profit from tomorrow’s opportunities.
Session 3: EMERGING TRENDS An active archive provides technical leaders the flexibility to adapt to new industry trends and growth areas like sustainability, artificial intelligence, and edge computing. This flexibility helps enterprises thrive with possibilities for market leadership, increased revenue, and competitive advantages.
